Explain some of the legal pitfalls in using and editing graphics.Essentially, this is about copyright issues and gaining permission to use copyright products. You also need to cover 'TradeMark' and 'Intellectual property'.

Copyright is when people create the different types of media which is in a form of information for example images, software and books. Therefore the owners have the right on how they would like the work to be used or copied. However when people want to reuse the image they need to get permission first, because the images could have copyright. This stops someone from copying an idea therefore the business will have enough time to develop and manufacture the idea. This can then be sold at a high price to begin, in order to recover some of the development costs.
A trademark is a word, phrase, symbol, and/or design that identifies and distinguishes the source of the goods of one party from, those of others. a service mark is a word, phrase, symbol and/ or design that identifies and distinguishes the source of a service rather than good. the term "trademark" is often used to refer to both trademarks and service marks.
Intellectual property is the result of creativity such as copyrights etc. this is something to do with the creation of the mind. Some problems with IP  is the patent law and copy right law. this could be when people think of a logo and someone makes something that looks alike for example the arsenal football club logo went to court as someone was selling items of the club  with a similar logo.
