unit 30 m1

Monitor
Limited to amount of pixels and sometimes the colour you want on the monitor doesn’t come out the printer properly. The resolution of the monitor can sometimes be limited and if you have a small monitor and trying to make an a3 poster it’ll be much harder as you won’t be able to see the whole poster on your screen very clear.
Digital camera
A corrupted memory card can result in photos being lost. A hard disk failure can also result in failure of photos being saved or backed up. Top digital cameras are also expensive to run due to the cost of a roll of film.
Scanner
It would be a problem if the glass is dirty so you need special spray to clean it which could be quite expensive. If you get a scratch on it when it’s scanning then it’ll show on the piece of paper. Also if the screen is small and you want to scan a poster or an a3 piece of paper you are limited.
 Printer
Printer costs are a problem as ink is really expensive and if they break it’s also expensive to fix. You’re also limited to the a4 paper as sometimes the printer wont print on card or with an a3 piece of paper.
Photoshop
The Android and IOS version does not have as many features. Images can look pixelated or become bad quality if you expand them too much. It's not very user friendly unless you know what you’re doing. It has compatibility issues on anything other than Windows. This is also really expensive to run. This is also time consuming to learn all the tools.
Illustrator

Illustrator is very expensive to run and hard to work unless you know what you’re doing. Limitations with vector software and you can’t edit vectors. Photoshop is more equipped for general graphics as well because illustrator is only for vectors whereas Photoshop is for both vectors and bitmap. This is also time consuming to learn all the tools.

Graphic type
Describe how the graphic is constructed and why you chose the graphic type?
How will the final file be saved?
Internet graphic
bitmap
A Bitmap is different pixels that can all be different colours. It is possible to edit each individual pixel. When you change the size of a bitmap it loses the quality however if you use the bitmap it can make pictures look more realistic.
.bmp
.dib
Jpeg
Gif
Tiff
.png
Van sign graphic
vector
Vectors can be created using graphic packages and are made up of objects. You can edit each object separately by changing the size colour and position. The size of the files are however quite small and the vectors do not change quality when you change the size.
.cgm, .svg, .odg, .eps, .xml
Brochure
Bitmap & vector
Using both graphic types would be good as the writing would stay clear and easy to read and the pictures would look much clearer. Using both types would be good.
